Sandwich Park District offers a wide variety of travel programs for adults.
Whether you enjoy plays or dinner theater, shopping trips or casinos, there is
something for everyone! Our program coordinator, Christine McMahon, will
act as your hostess and will make sure you have an enjoyable experience,
whatever you choose.

 LUNCH BUNCH - GENERAL INFORMATION
Register for our Lunch Bunch outings and enjoy food, fun and
fellowship. Each trip is a wonderful opportunity to try different restaurants
you might not venture to on your own. Our fee includes park district van
transportation and escort. The meal cost and gratuity are "on your own". As time
permits, browsing in area shops is included. NOTE: A step stool is used to enter
and exit the park district van.
WILDWOOD RESTAURANT
St. Charles, IL
Wildwood opened in April of 2006 and has established a strong reputation for
quality, consistency and value. Wildwood features an upscale American
cuisine. The lunch menu includes a selection salads, burgers, fresh fish,
quiche, and more. Lunch prices range from $7.95 to $15.95. Space is
limited.

ONESTI DINNER CLUB
St. Charles, IL
Onesti Dinner Club, an Italian Steakhouse and Supper Club, offers lunch on
Thursdays. Menu selections include a variety of seafood, wonderful entree
salads, sandwiches, some favorite pastas, and beef and pork entrees. The
restaurant is home to the former St. Patrick's Catholic Church built in 1851.
It was the first stone church erected in St. Charles with limestone. In
the 1960's the building was sold and turned into a restaurant. After
several owners, the building undertook a six-month extensive
renovation/restoration in 2003. In August of 2008 the building was bought
by Onesti Entertainment, the same owners of the neighboring Arcadia Theater.
Space is limited on this van trip so register today to guarantee your seat.

LOBSTER BOIL AND STEAK FRY
Fontana, Wisconsin
This gathering is located right on the lakefront in the village of Fontana,
Wisconsin. Over 2,100 meals are served by the Big Foot Lions Club yearly.
Tables and chairs are set up under several large tents. Live entertainment
plays throughout the entire day. On the way to Fontana, a stop is made in
Walworth at Sentry Foods to purchase the lobster boil tickets. Other stops
in Walworth include a local European deli that features homemade soups, stews,
sausage, pirogues and more. The lobster boil meal usually is not served
until 3:30 p.m. Light snacks, table games, and card games are provided
while enjoying entertainment before the meal. All food is prepared right
at the park. Cost for the Lobster tail (12-14 oz.) and rib eye steak (14
oz.) are usually between $20 - $25. Van transportation is included in the
fee, meals are "on-your-own". This trip fills fast, so register early.

ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL MUSEUM
Springfield, IL
This trip is a wonderful experience. Lincoln history comes to life
throughout this museum. The holographic and special effects theaters will
entertain, educate, and mesmerize visitors with ghostly images, live actors and
high action. It is unlike any other in the United States featuring high
tech exhibits, interactive displays and multimedia programs, as well as a
reproduction of the White House as it looked in 1861. The day concludes
with a drive through Oak Ridge Cemetery to see Lincoln's Tomb, as well as World
War II, Korean, and Vietnam Memorials. Meals are "on-your-own".
There is a fast food restaurant inside the museum and a few restaurants with
walking distance to enjoy.

CHICAGO CUBS "SENIOR DAY"
Wrigley Field, Chicago, IL
This is a senior savings day at Wrigley Field. Tickets for participants
age 65 and over receive a discounted price. Cheer on the Cubs to victory
against the San Diego Padres. The seats are terrace reserved infield on
the third base side, sections 213 and 215. NOTE: A few seats are
available at regular price, so parents and grandparents can be accompanied by
someone under 65

discount on the $8.99 lunch buffet and $5.00 cash on their "Player's Image"
